The Mirror that has Two Faces

During a hot Summers day, Hikaru Katsu, a 17 year old Junior in High School, is over at his grandmother (Hikaru Fumiko) house to help her clean and move stuff around sense she is getting to old to do it by herself.

Fumiko: Ahhh! I'm glad you could make it Katsu-kun! Sorry to call you over on this dreadful hot day and help me move stuff around.

Fumiko then gives Katsu a gentle hug like when he was a kid. that soft warm hug always seems to put a smile on his face even when something bad had happened.

Katsu: It's no problem, I had no plans for today so you don't have to worry about it.

Katsu then enters the house while taking off his shoes to put on his house slippers. Katsu then looks around and smiles as he is reminded of the good times he spent here as a child.

Katsu: So where should I start Obaasan?

Fumiko: hmmmm.... how about starting with the living room? After that you can look around the house and clean up spots that would need to be cleaned.

Katsu: Ok, I'll be sure to make this house really clean for you!

Katsu then goes to the Leaving room and cleaned it to the point where there are no dust on anything anymore so Katsu then walks around the house looking for places to clean while remembering what all he had done as a child. Katsu enters a room where he had once played in and learn many things from his Obaasan and Ojiisan. Next after cleaning that room Katsu then enters the kitchen remembering how his Obaasan always let him cook with her and the great things he had made from his help. After cleaning many areas of the house he starts to double check to make sure he didn't miss anything and then notices another room he had never seen before.

Katsu: Was this room always here before?

Katsu then enters the room and begins to look around. Strangely, it was empty and had nothing inside of it besides the white walls.

Katsu: It looks like it could of been used as another bedroom.... strange though..... I never seen this room before until now....

Katsu then begins to rub his eyes and yawns as he begins to lay against a wall.

Katsu: ahhhwwwnn..... Was I really Cleaning around the house that much? I feel tired...

Katsu then falls on his side and falls into a slumber. Then Katsu begins to dream a strange dream. The dream was set at the field of flowers not to far from his Obaasan's house and there he sees a small girl with short red hair and a big sun hat that matches her yellow dress just standing in the flowers in front of a big mirror. The girl then giggles and runs over to Katsu and begins to pull on his sleeve bringing him in front of the mirror.

??? Girl: would you like to start your life over?

Katsu: huhh?

??? Girl: would you like to start your life over?

Katsu then begins to think and remembers how his parents were always fighting and arguing while always being busy with their work completely ignoring their child and when they do get back from work they show no kindness to him. Always strict, mean, uncaring..... Obaasan and Ojiisan are the only person to show him real kindness. To him, they are his real parents.

??? Girl: I know what your thinking. You love your grandparents don't you? I tell you what, why not go with my idea? course I'm not going to tell you what it is!

The mysterious girl giggles some more and Katsu begins to make up his mind.

Katsu: Tch... how you know? ohh well... Guess I'll go with your plan. I could never allow myself to forget Obaasan and Ojiisan.

??? Girl: Teheee! then all you have to do is stand in front of the mirror and let me handle the rest!

As Katsu stands in front of the mirror wondering why its showing to reflection, he then notices the girl chanting something as a blue energy wave is quickly approaching him. His instincts are telling him to dodge but his feet are wrapped to the ground by the same blue energy. Katsu then gets hit by the wave and flings through the mirror as he somehow enters back in the house flung against into a wall as it is now night time.

Ketsu: ahh ehh ehh... thats hurts... That was one messed up dre-

Ketsu then stops in mid-sentence noticed his voice is very high pitched. he then stands back up also noticing that he is now shorter.... way shorter then before. He also has light brown hair hanging in front of his eyes as well as his hands and feet being smaller. Ketsu also sees the room now looks like a girls room. Just then, a lady that looks like she is 25 years old walks in the room. She has long dark red hair and a slim frame and looks really beautiful.

Fumiko: Ahh I see you talked to Mimi-chan. And I take it you wished to start your life over right? So how do you feel Kazue?

Kazue: I feel funny..... what just happened?

Fumiko: What you wished for. You are starting your life over in this house from here on out as a 7 year old girl. Your other parents wont remember you and you are my daughter starting today! But don't worry, I'll be sure to give you the love you need for a better life.

Fumiko then kneels down and gives Kazue a big hug. Kazue then gives a big hug back with a big smile on her face.

Kazue: I don't care if I turned into a girl as long as I can spend time with you!

Hisashi: Hey hey there, miss me yet?

Kazue turns around and sees his grandfather, who was suppose to have been dead for years, at the bedroom door who looks like he is 25 years old as well. He has scruffy brown hair and a small beard with a medium build.

Kazue: Grandpa!

Kazue leaps into Hisashi arms with tears coming down her face

Hisashi: hey hey now... don't cry... I'll be with you this time don't you worry.. I'm not going to die and leave you like I did last time... but dont call me grandpa! Im your father now! hahaha!

As her father mood lightens the atmosphere, the three then hug for what seems like hours.... For better or worse, the happy family will always share these memories with each other and Kazue's new life shall begin a new chapter.
